If like me you started playing the piano in your teenage years, but was never that enamored by your old fashioned piano teacher and weekly lessons from a damp back room, you may now be regretting your younger years and what could have been if you’d stuck at it? Actually, I often bunked off to play football instead and hoped my parents didn’t find out – at least I wasn’t wasting their money. I sometimes wish I had been pushed by my parents a little more – I may have surpassed 4th grade and grasped the concept of ‘circle of fifths’ and further music theory. My claim to fame was performing a duet with one of my school mates at the local school hall. Went ok and managed not to get my coat tails caught in the piano lid (in true Les dawson style).

Fortunately, I soon exonerated myself and in my later years took up piano of my own accord, and practiced on my first piano – a Yamaha digital midi-compatible piano. A few years later, I acquired a copy of Sibelius for my PC/Laptop and started creating and composing my own music. I then progresses and took an evening course on how to play Jazz piano and following that embarked on an open university degree in music. What an eye opener! One thing I like about the piano and learning about classical music is that it gives you a thorough understanding of how all instruments and music is put together. With the piano you learn the bass part, mid range treble and alto range across the scale covering a number of instruments.

A few years later I downloaded pro tools and started to record and edit my own music, sampling sounds and experimenting. My piano skills stood me in good stead and having an understanding of music theory helped me a lot. Don’t misunderstand, you don’t need a music background to make your own music, far from it – there are many musicians who can play an instrument by ear and can’t tell the difference between a crotchet and a semi-quaver.

My next venture took me to a local music studio, where I recorded my first ever song (took me 2 years to write and complete). A massive thumbsup goes out to www.recordingstudiolondon.co.uk, where I learnt such a lot from their studio engineers and help produce the final edit.

Avid has now released Pro Tools HD version 10 which is such a joy to use, with the new digital clipping features. This is an advantage for those working with real recordings, especially vocals, as you can make each phrase or word into an individual clip, then change the level so the whole vocal meshes properly into the sound track.

If you are looking for a very fast printing process, then a great option is on-line printing. The services offered by the print and media businesses who are embracing the media age, are unlike conventional printing companies in terms of convenience. Just three of many advantages that internet printing holds over traditional printing methods are speed, accuracy, and a better ability to market your company. A few of these services are now dominating this new technological media sector and have adapted well. The likes of DoxDirect and eDoxdirect are offering a cheaper alternative to a businesses printing costs, and has been welcomed with open arms for some of the medium to large companies looking to streamline their costs in these times of austerity.

Perhaps the number one reason for choosing this type of printing solution would be speed. While you do not have the documents immediately, it holds an advantage over dealing with a copy shop because your documents are delivered right to you. With so many deals online, you can easily set up a custom package in minutes and rest assured that it will make it into your hands just in time for your presentation or deadline. Instead of explaining a complicated order to someone at a copy shop, you have all of the control with the click of a mouse.

Another problem with the conventional printing process is the correction process; if you are using your own printer, for example, you are wasting your own materials and therefore wasting your own money. Some document formats misrepresent the layout of the elements on a page. However, printing online allows you to look over your work thoroughly and get an accurate representation of how text and graphics will come out on the exact page on which you wish to print.

Finally, your ability to provide for clients and employees alike will give you an extra edge over competitors. After all, the more marketing materials you print out, the more exposure you receive. Furthermore, you have unlimited options for printing: you can print product catalogues, booklets, training materials, or any document that your business needs.

Overall, document printing can allow you to bring your business to its fullest potential. Compared to going to a copy shop or using your own resources, the benefits of printing online far outweigh any obstacles that it might pose.

If you own a business, your primary concern is likely making sure that your company is always running smoothly and that your employees have a steady flow of work. With that in mind, online freight exchange sites protect businesses by giving business owners the freedom to explore their options. By having all of this information at your fingertips, you can make well-informed decisions which can make your company survive in low business cycles and thrive when business is booming.

On these websites, people share information about the available transports and logistics from a specific region or country. For instance, if you are searching for low-cost transport of carriers then this is the one of the best places where you can do this. In addition to that, you do not have to worry about the issues regarding financial security or jobs not getting completed because it is taken care of by the freight exchange company. A feedback service also ensures quality control as users know that their reliability will boost their reputation and bring them more business.

Most online freight exchange systems feature a messenger technology similar to that of Skype or MSN so that users can communicate with one another . However, these are set up exclusively for these companies, hence the access fees that they charge. Once you have downloaded the messenger, you can rest assured that those with whom you are speaking have paid for access to that messenger and are part of the same system. Another benefit of online freight exchange sites is you get a free trial period to experiment with the system and see whether it is a good fit for the needs of your business.

With online freight exchange, you have thousands of offers daily to choose from a pool of load slots. There are huge pools of trucks and other vehicles ready to carry your goods and products, but with ever rising global fuel and transport costs is a driving factor when adopting centralised international transport and road haulage services to ferry your loads from A to B. Other benefits provided are better financial security. Combined, these advantages could make an online freight exchange one of the most reliable tools for your business.

How do you sell your car online?

There are a number of ways to advertise and market your car these days – there’s no need to search for a local garage.

Here are a number of tips that you may want to consider before selling your car online;

(1) Compare the online auto car sites and see who offers free advertising. Some sites are vying for your business and may sell new cars, so they are hoping you will buy new from them

(2) Ensure you have some good quality images of your car from all angles. It’s no surprise, that most new cars and used vehicles, look better when the sun is out, especially after a polish and wax. Make sure you show photos of the interior as well – cleanliness is important.

(3) Get your specs correct. There’s nothing worse than doing the deal and then finding out out that you have advertised your 1.6 S as a 1.6 Si or missed a zero off the mileage count!

(4) Emphasise the cars features – if it has an all singing and dancing stereo with remote control, then mention it.

(5) Let potential buyers know the service history, maintenance – this is essential. Be Honest!

When you have sold your second hand car successfully, you can then shop around and upgrade to a more luxury car at a number of on-line new car dealers.

Many a theories are banded around the internet each day from the far corners of the digital media world into the living rooms and offices of many. Attempting to decipher the marketing messages, slogans, strap lines and folly of some of these so called marketing gurus can be a tough pill to swallow. So what does and doesn’t work? If you are contemplating on plunging into the web marketing world with a restricted budget…where should you actively spend it and what areas should you indulge in for your marketing strategy.

This is a tall order to answer for all businesses. All companies are different, have varying goals and objectives, competitors with each niche a different audience and flavour. If you only have an on-line presence, its important to either master the art of search engine optimisation or know a company that does. DIY marketing is a brave move, but sought the expertise of someone who has been through the mill, and learn from their knowledge. Meet up with like minded people at local business meetings and share experiences – you’ll be amazed what you can learn from them, how they planned their companies marketing budget, what worked and what doesn’t.

If you are starting out and have a conservative marketing budget, I would recommend carrying out a competitor analysis and finding out what areas your competitors are active in. Focus on low risk marketing at first, test other areas with small budgets and stick to it. Don’t dive straight into banner advertising with a n unkown media agency – this wont work. what you need is targeted traffic. Do your keyword research, look at a handful of target phrases and opt into a pay on performance SEO deal with a proven SEO services company. Obtain testimonials before you commit and barter on price. be wary if the price is too low – some things are too good to be true!

If you already have the website design phase completed, or if you are about to embark on a web project, make sure that the web design company are SEO friendly – in other words they need to possess the right skills to create websites that comply to certain rules. Do some background research on what right questions you should be asking.
